Being Your Own CEO: Propelling solopreneurs into focus, action and success. The central theme in my work has always been career. Of course, I define career broadly as what we do as our life's work. Where once we focused on one occupation for life, today we know that people will have experienced many occupations in their lifetime. As people approach their Third Age (you know, that time after the last main occupation, sometimes referred to as retirement), they realize that there may be another forty years left for them. This is when they become interested in being self-employed. I like to call them solopreneurs. In my business, Workstyle-Lifestyle Consulting, I teach and coach Third Agers who have a great idea for a business but who are uncertain how to make it happen. My Solo Enterprise Program takes them through the main components of business and coaching helps them keep the overwhelm at bay. Since solopreneurs eventually begin to feel isolated, I provide a weekly Success Circle Zoom called BeingYourOwnCEO to facilitate sharing, encouragement and support. Some do business together and even find business partners in this group.
